Pieter Cronjé has extensive all-round marketing, communication and leadership skills, combined with management and business experience earned in local government, public enterprise and private sector organisations – in South Africa and abroad. He has unparalleled experience in competitive, fast changing, crisis driven, sensitive and unionised environments, crisis management and communication as well as change management. He has pioneered innovative, award-winning communication and marketing campaigns, products, and has managed national and international events. After playing a key role in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Cape Town, he assisted organising teams in Brazil and Russia with their preparations to host their FIFA World Cup in 2014 and 2018 respectively. During a career in journalism (Media 24), broadcasting (SABC), energy (Shell), financial services (Sanlam) and local government (City of Cape Town) he has worked with top business and political leaders in global and South African organisations. As independent international advisor and speaker he lectures internationally and at the Stellenbosch University, works with Killarney International Raceway, presenting the annual World Rallycross Championship and consults internationally and in South Africa to CEOs and organisations. He works with a network of specialised associates on multi-disciplinary projects in banking, retail, agriculture, transport, financial services, international foundations, professional firms, sport and non-government organisations. Pieter is a leadership and development coach, strategic facilitator and author. His personal interests include cycling, diving, fishing, aviation, racing, music, cuisine, martial arts, futurism and technology.
